- Club 5K “Championship” Idea- There is an idea floating about to hold a “Fremont Elite Runner’s Club 5K Club Championship/Breakfast” on Saturday, April 23rd. The event would start @ 9:30 am and follow a 5K course on either the Bike Trail or in the neighborhoods around the Rec Complex and would include breakfast (pancakes, etc…) afterwards at the Rec Complex. The catch would be that to participate you would have to be a current member in good standing of the club, which would make the event free. You could also join the club on Race Day, which would cost you the amount of Club Dues. Awards to the first Male and Female Runner’s across the finish line. Let us know what you think of the idea before anything is confirmed. Email your thoughts to mdglotz@fremontohio.org

- Rule of the Week, From The Runner’s Rule Book by Mark Remy

Rule 3.7 “When Elastic Is Gone, It Is Gone”

This one is for the guys. You paid good money for those shorts (20 years ago). You love those shorts. You have worn those shorts in the heat, the cold, the sun, rain over hill and dale (For 20 years). You’ve raced in those shorts and maybe even set a pr in them

BUT, sooner or later there will come a time when you pull those shorts on and feel a roomy gap where once there was a snug liner. You will be tempted to shrug this off and wear them running anyways.

When the elastic is gone, it’s GONE! Spare everyone else and invest in some new shorts.

*As a side note: Second Sole of Toledo has a wide variety of great looking, comfortable and practical shorts that are in style and have up to date elastic. Please see Matt Folk or any of the other fine folks at the store and they will gladly help you out*

- Heat Assignment’s have been completed and are now available at www.fremontrunningandfitness.com. Click on the link under the Fremont Indoor 10K entry form.
